Aaron "Shwayze" Smith.. The self-proclaimed only black kid from Malibu, California. This 22 year old alternative rap artist hails from the same 310 area code that is home to mega-stars like Mel Gibson, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears and Larry Ellison who is the founder/chief of Oracle. However, Shwayze was raised in a trailer park with his grandparents. No need for sympathy folks Shwayze's young life is a very glamorous version of Eminem's Detroit, Michigan "8 Mile" upbringing. As I mentioned on the July 4th post Shwayze's style is like multiplying Jack Johnson by the Gym Class Heroes. He depicts the plush lifestyle of Malibu adolescents and the Los Angeles party all day/night lifestyle. After attending school in SoCal I can say his beats via Cisco Adler (Mickey Avalon), mixed with his lyrics, portray the Southern California teen to twenties "my parents got money "lifestyle to a T (sorry to generalize).
