Ryan Leslie: raising the bar

Ryan Leslie continues making revolutionary music with a super fly innovative style. His hit, Diamond Girl has been blowing up the radio and he is forecasted to drop a lot of music this summer..... but as is my practice, I happen to have a bunch of it right now:

This song is legendary already and I've just started listening to it tonight. If this song doesn't become a nationwide hit, then America has no ear for music.
I mean how fly are those piano guitar things (I forget their name right now)

This song is hot too. I hope he releases those videos that show how he puts the beat together for at least one of these two songs. He makes other producers look boring and old-school in comparison.

This next song was produced by Ryan Leslie for Nina Sky. When was the last time you heard a Nina Sky song?? Well they went to the right person if they're thinking of getting back in the spotlight.

I'm gonna finish this post by dabbling in two other producers:

This super smooth Will.i.am beat is off his last album "Songs about girls." There is also a music video that just came out for it. I love how the instruments keep goin for a long time after the singing is done.

T-Pain made this beat for Usher and his group One Chance

She Got Dat Spongebob

I have not posted in a long time. I have been lazy as hell. Pardon me but it is Spring Break, baby. Okay this post has three parts.
Part 1: Slappers

I love this beat. Soulja Boy of the Bay? "Movin in yo spongebob like you double-dutchin, that shit's like your job girl, like you double-dutchin." Haha.

I've been comin up on some Stunt Doubles music as of late and it slaps so expect more to come soon. The beat sounds like that instrument that they blast on the loud speakers at a baseball game.

My buddy said that I couldn't leave out this new club banger with Akon.

Part 2: Videos of Note
I just saw the Lollipop video the other day and it is as good as the song. Creative as hell. Apparently Lil Wayne had a buttload of every drug known to mankind when the Feds searched his bus. You can tell in this video. Who else comes up with this stuff? He's a rock star.
I just saw the video for that Grind Mode song I posted back in December. Its hard to beat the video I had posted of those doods dancing, but they did alright with this trippy cut. Universal isn't letting anyone embed this video so you'll have to go to the Youtube link if you want to see it.

Part 3: A little bit of R&B. You have to smooth it out sometimes...

I didn't have this Jynx song until recently.

The Jackie Boyz from Georgia:

Chris Brown is dominating R&B right now. How many hits off his last album? Here's a lesser known one:

Music of note

So Mistah F.A.B. performed last night. He started out with Slappin In Tha Trunk and finished up with a bunch of Mac Dre songs before a Ghost Ride It finale. He also did the new song with Snoop and told us all to vote the music video on BET. Does Mistah F.A.B. plan on being big now???? Eh? A little follow up for Ghost Ride It? I ain't mad.

Mr. Collipark continues to build his greedy empire of hip hop
domination. His new signing is a bold one: two girls called the Vistoso Bosses (pictured on the left). I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I like this song because I know that if I was an 8 year old girl I would also like this song. Oh well. Music is music.

Go to their Myspace page if you want to see some weird videos of them with Don Corleone... I mean Mr. Collipark.

Alright. Let's jump back to the bay for a second. SneakyMike, who continues to be one of my favorite, most innovative, yet simple, producers made a beat for J-Stalin on this song. J-Stalin murked the track (I just wanted to say murk). But seriously, listen to the song. I can feel it.

In other bay news, I saw this Messy Marv song on this one site that posts radio singles before they come out. This song hits hard like an old school classic does, but I guess its off his last album. Marv has made SO much music. He deserves more respect.

I don't remember how I found this last song. It's siiiick though. Once you hear it about two times, it's gonna be in your head. Then you watch the music video and..... ummm it's a jellyfish competition.

Neon Neon ft. Cate Le Bon - I Lust You (Oh yea and how honest of a title is that? Why can't there be more songs called "I Lust You"? "I Love You" is played out)

Tha Zone

I've been meaning to make a post about Tha Zone, an upcoming group from the bay. They've got a mixtape out right now (I've already posted "Giggin in tha function" which is my favorite song off the mixtape) and the songs go.

This first song is their big one out right now:

PS. Good game for the W's tonight! Mikael Pietrus is starting to blossom. That guy has some hops and can play some damn good defense when he's not fouling. But tomorrow night... HUGE game against the Suns. I'm already nervous.
PPS. Since this post is about Tha Zone, I think it would be well timed to post the new Young L song. He's doin the T-Pain voice now it looks like. Rappa ternt sanga?

Mistah F.A.B. at my school, fool

My bad for not posting much lately. I got finals so I have to get my study on. I don't just listen to music. But anyways, Fabby Davis is comin to my school for free. Yeee! I just found out today. Next Saturday he's givin us a free performance for this little event called Battle of the Bay. So I'll just post a couple of F.A.B. tracks. First you have to see why he is the king of bay area freestyle:

Alright here's a couple of my favorite F.A.B. songs:

This beat is so tight.

This song is off of Baydestrian. Young L made a dope beat. "That girl got a big ole butt....It's so big, it's so bigg" hahaha

This is just hyphy at it's hyphiest.

Team Knoc n stuff....you smell me

This song from Sirrealz (Team Knoc) = soooo fly. Check out his video:

New song from The Federation. The end is siiick. I want to see that in a video. The beat makes me wanna go dumb in the jungle.

New Stunnaman video worth checkin out. Slaps hard and is quite ghetto, I must warn you.

Snoop Dogg gets hyphy on one of the songs from his new Ego Tripping album:

As you may now Mr. Collipark keeps makin hits with new artists now despite parting from the Ying Yang Twins. His follow up to Hurricane and Soulja Boy is V.I.C. I like this video, and I'm feelin the calm beat. Hi hats and snaps always make me happy. I'm always fascinated by songs that can have a minimal beat and can still go.

www.thatgomusic.com

I couldn't think of a good title for this post. FYI, you can get to my site by just puttin in www.thatgomusic.com now. You no longer have to type the "blogspot" part.
In other news, your man in the picture above goes by the name of Young Boss. You may have heard him in the "Go Girl" song with Pitbull and Trina. Hanyways, hes comin out with some new music, including this incredibly fresh and catchy song:

I would like to take this time to post a very funny video that might be a little bit old (it was huge this summer amongst underground bay area video watchers). There are so many good parts I just can't begin describing it. The guy ghost rides his bike, the dood stopping traffic with his bike, the guy who dances hella funny etc. Se llama "Scraper Bike" by the Trunk Boiz:
This next video is the Trunk Boiz turf dancing to their "Cupcake no fillin" song. The singing part in the middle of the song is grrreat:
Alright last video: This is some European group whose lyrics when translated to english are hilarious...especially in the chorus that goes "I can sing to you like a shining star, but I'd rather do you on the back seat of my car"

For the conclusion of this random themeless post here are two songs that go super dummy in the club:
