Artist ThatGo: 88 Keys

88 Keys is an artist from Harlem, New York.  He's done production work for hip hop's more so-called "conscious" rappers such as Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and Mos Def.  His track record dates back to 1988 and beyond. Recently Kanye West has taken a liking to him and has produced a bulk of his latest music. I checked out his new mixtape entitled "Adam's Case Files" and was impressed with his style. His album has very raw story telling and adresses  issues you don't normally hear from other rappers but can relate to.  I'm not sure how successful he will be commercially but the quality is very high in this "backpack" rapper's repertoire.

If you enjoyed these or want to hear more from 88 Keys check out his mixtape "Adam's Case Files"   at this link:      Adam's Case File

Witnessing History : Barack Obama's Acceptance Speech

(Finest First Lady ever! I'm going to give up the Playboy channel for CNN if Obama's elected)

Barack Obama's acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination for presidential candidate pulled the highest ratings than any speech of the same sort before it.  This is understandably so because he is the first non-white nominee of a major party in the history of the US.   He spoke of his non-native father's dream that his son could do whatever he set his mind to in the land of oppurtunity we call America.  Barack Obama is doing just that and against the odds beset by the last 232 years of this country's independence.  The link below will show you this speech broken into different sections visually and in text. I hope we can all learn from his experience and examples and to all the gogetters. We at thatgo wont try to sway your vote one way or the other but encourage you to look into the candidates and their ideals to make the difference you fully intend to with your vote. That is the way of the gogetter....

Kanye West- "Champion" video and "Good Morning" video

This and Flashing Lights are my favorite songs from Kanye's "Graduation" album.  "Good Ass Job" is rumored to be the title of his fourth and final album.  I love how he's trying to explore his creativity with this video and the one that recently was put up for sale "Good Morning" which is a cartoon starring his famous bear mascott.

This video was directed by Takashi Murakami, a japanese artist, who designed Kanye's last album cover. This video's tough to find with great quality so we apologize to you thatgoers.

ACCESSories ThatGo

This Stussy backpack is sick and when walkin' through campus or the streets you know people will having nothing to think but "thatgo".

Neighborhood's "Dirty Harry" line has some cool ties and for those who like hardware their pendents and buttons are pretty pimpy depending on  your style. Various "thatgoers" can appreciate these.

I've been keeping up with Futura Laboratories and their flyest items are these glasses right here. They're oldschool fresh style and can add swag to any fit.

Apple's full touch screen computer

A patent that Apple submitted to get filed back in April got leaked recently and it looks like Apple has serious plans for making a full touch screen computer. The patent is legit... several Apple execs are listed such as Industrial Design Chief Jonathan Ive. A key function will be the ability for multi-touch (pressing key combinations like ctrl-alt-delete).

Scrolling will be similar to the iPhone but the plans also show a very cool virtual scroll wheel, made possible with multi-touch.

Accessing smaller buttons will be possible with a nice tap temporary zoom function.
This technology is definitely exciting... imagine a computer half the size of the MacBook Air! Unfolding a laptop would no longer exist, all you would do is remove the screen protector. The one problem for me is the lack of a tactile keyboard. You won't be able to feel your way into no-look typing. I think if Steve Jobs decides not to allow people to use a normal keyboard with the device, it could seriously limit the audience that this product would target.

Maintain Fall Swag... Apparel

Futura Laboratories has come out with a very nice new line of painted denim jeans for the fall.  These shiny jeans were big like 5 years ago and I are comin' back again.
The "100 icons" T-shirts from Futura Laboratories.
"Resonate" came out with some original pin-up girl T-shirts and I'm feelin this one right here with Miss Monroe.

The new fall line by "Resonate" has got some very basic and clean looks. These white button-downs have different colors of lining in the stitching to add just a little but of flavor that makes them easy to mix and match with any thing you've got.

Return of the JeFLy (formerly jedi) ...Back To School Footwear ThatGo

These sneaker can be worn to class, the office, or the club. They're a product of a collaboration between British brand "Swear" and "Best One" who is a grafitti artist.  These are super multi-functional and of course meet the "thatGo flyness"  criteria.

The Brooklyn Projects line by Nike doesn't stray far from their throwback formula that's been popular as of late. These shoes aren't as flashy as some of their others have been and rock some of the oldschool tongues and high-top straps.  For what it's worth you won't roll your ankle running your startup company in these haha.

Got my vans on and they look nothin' like sneakers!  The new plaid pack fall line by vans is a little bit tougher to integrate into your wardrobe but with some swag you got it! ThatGO!

Swagger

I've never received more requests to post a song before. It must be hot. T.I., Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil-Wayne sampled M.I.A. for this hook on one the most all-star studded casts of all time.

Chill Songs From The Game's "LAX"

The hardcore West Coast rap from the Game is a gem in the rap industry because no main stream artists can really come through as grimy as he can.  Lil Wayne is straying off into the R&B gig with T-Pain and his last album was too focused on his finances.  The Game's new album has a few tracks that have soul but provide the rough-edged delivery The Game is known for...

: This is a Scott Storch produced track with a bass line similar to Nas's "If I Ruled the World". Chrisette Michelle's voice is a definite throw back but fresh to hip hop music and I believe it is versatile enough to cross over to other genres with the right production.

:: This track is produced by Mr. Kanye West. It has a nice funky riff going on and you can't go wrong with a collabo with Common.

: This song is produced by DJ Hi-Tek which is one of my favorites for his very chill sound. He knows how to sooth you with his melodies and delicate percussion ensembles.  He is most well-known for his album with Talib Kweli called "Train of Thought".  This song is reminiscent of "Maybach Music" by Rick Ross. With Nas and Game preaching on the track in an ode to Martin Luther King it is a classic.

Top In Architecture: DUBAI

Here are some of the greatest architectural feats that have been achieved in Dubai. Dubai is the real estate capital of the world as of late and the tax-free law is attracting corporations and executives of all sorts. I'ma have to have me a place there as well.. thatGo fasho!

Throw Back: Kanye West feat. Paul Wall, T.I.- "Drive Slow Remix" Music Video

It was hard to find this video but I love this song...

Here are some songs that used this beat before Kanye West:
Atmosphere doesn't use the saxophone riff but the essential beat is the same.
This is off of "All Eyez On Me" which is one of the top 5 rap/ hip-hop albums of all time and a colt as well as mainstream classic.

Can't Believe It

Fresh off the market, but not premiered on FNMTV, is the new video from T-Wayne. This is good music... give T-Pain more credit, people! Oh and by the way, I uploaded this video onto Vimeo. My first Vimeo upload! The new website we are working on at That Go will be complete in the very near future... and video will be a prominent element.... more details on that stuff soon!

Frenchy and Freshy: Justice

This duo of French DJs is coming up in the electronic music world.  Their debut album was nominated for the "best electronic/dance album" in the Grammy awards earlier this year. The title of the album is just a Christian cross. So I guess that's "t" haha. If somebody knows how to make a cross looking object feel free to let us know. Their hit single "D.A.N.C.E." comes with a very creative and artistic video that is rumored to have influenced Kanye West for his "Good Life" clip.  Check it out...

Extrasexual Import: Paula Garces

Paula Garces was born in Colombia.     She moved to the Spanish-Harlem section of New York City at a young age. She started acting in commercials and  had her first starring role in the 2002 flick "Clockstoppers".  She now stars in the television show "The Shield" where she plays a cop (no played out handcuff jokes here)...but this means she's good with a baton guys!! haha Okay well I first saw her in "Harold and Kumar Go to Whitecastle" as Harold's love interest, Maria.  She wasn't too famous then but I was totally in love with her ever since the first Harold and Kumar movie. She's got a natural beauty that isn't so common even in Hollywood. Look for her new animated movie that she co-produced and stars in called "Red Princess Blues".

Official Girl

On FNMTV, one of my new favorite shows, Cassie premiered her new video for Official Girl. The cool thing about that show is they bring in the artist to talk about the meaning behind the song or video and then they prompt the world to buzz about it on their website. Anyways, in Cassie's quick shpeil about the song, she talked about how she had a situation where she was ready to get official with someone but he wasn't down, despite the fact that they were hooking up... Diddy? Ryan Leslie? Me?... you decide for yourself, but each possibility is equally likely! PS. her booty is sticking out quite nicely these days... check the video for proof.

Cookie Jar

I like this. I'm sorry ladies, but I can't keep my hands out the cookie jar. The chorus is reminiscent of T-Pain in Buy you a Drink... "Talk to me, I talk back, let's talk money, I talk that..." but whatever, anything The Dream touches these days is a hit. Check em out behind the scenes...

Brotha With Beats: Paul Johnson

This Chicago native produced one of the biggest hits in the genre of house music with "Get Down".  We recently caught wind of some of his music and noticed  the thatgoness..

Leryn Franco...Thanks God

Leryn Franco is an olympic javelin thrower.  She is a native of Paraguay and was in contention for the Miss Parguay pageant. She isn't a phenomenal athlete but still competing at an olympic level. She has much more attention than she would if it weren't for her jaw-dropping beauty...and booty.   Watch thatGo right thurr...

Jazze Pha goes electro with T.I. and The Dream

The song is called "Like I Do." I like that hip-hop producers aren't afraid of borrowing from other genres now. Timbaland was one of the first, now Jazze made it! This is electronic hip/hop. That Go!

Ear candy

This songs one of my favorites from back in the day. It gets you in the mood for anything summerish:

This new group I don't know squat about but this song's remix is sick for any club or function:

Here's one more old school jam to get people moving. This is one of my favorites:

Naughty Princess of Persia : Aylar Lie

Aylar Lie was born in Tehran, Iran. She was given up and adopted by a Norwegian family at 2 years old. She grew up in Norway and became famous as a model.  She competed in the Miss Norway pageant but was disqualified for pornographic pictures she'd posed for in the past. She is not allowed to return to Iran and has received death threats for her participating in porn. Whoever said sex sells?  She recently started a singing career in Norway and is the leading lady in the Basshunter videos. Check the sexiness thatGo..

BASSHUNTER

Check out these videos by Eurodance DJ Basshunter.  The Swedish DJ has 2 hit songs called "Now You're Gone" and "All I Ever Wanted" who were #1 and #2 respectively in the European music charts. The videos for the songs are about the same couple and their trials and tribulations.  At the end of the last video they are united at a Basshunter show and he saves the day!  How do you like that for cheesy-euro-cool?
