Where do I start. The Janelle Monáe story is not short or simple. I will try to summarize. Janelle Monáe is a young artist from Atlanta... genre: funk, hip-hop, pop, opera, soul, ?. She has an album called The Metropolis and plans on releasing it in 5 Suites at different times. The first suite, The Chase, has already been released independently and has been received with so much attention that Sean Diddy Combes immediately signed her to Bad Boy. That would be a helluva collab. She mentioned that she's making some music with him soon, its gonna be awesome. The thing that struck me about her first is the way she carried herself and spoke during that video interview. She acts like a political candidate / diva / yet still seems humble.. I new she was a star
